Effective: 1 January 2026 | Last reviewed: May 2026 | Version: 1.0
1. Overview
InsureOnGo believes insurance should do more than transfer risk. It should help people, families, businesses and communities build resilience. The Give Back initiative is our structured social impact commitment designed to connect every eligible policy purchase with practical community support.
Under this initiative, InsureOnGo allocates ₦100 from its own impact commitment for every eligible policy purchased through our marketplace. The amount is directed towards selected social impact causes, community projects, insurance awareness programmes, and responsible partnerships.
Our simple impact promise
When customers buy protection through InsureOnGo, part of our platform commitment goes towards causes that help communities become safer, better informed, and more financially resilient.
2. Our purpose
The Give Back initiative reflects our wider purpose to make insurance accessible, transparent, convenient and socially useful. As a digital insurance marketplace and Partnering Insurtech, we see technology not only as a distribution channel, but also as a tool for inclusive growth.
Our goal is to build a platform where customers can compare and buy insurance with confidence, while also contributing indirectly to meaningful social value.
3. Our commitment
For each eligible policy purchased through InsureOnGo, we set aside ₦100 towards the Give Back fund. This allocation is made by InsureOnGo and is not charged as an additional fee to the customer.
- The customer does not pay extra because of the Give Back initiative.
- The initiative does not reduce the premium due to the insurer.
- The initiative does not alter the customer’s policy terms, benefits, exclusions or claims rights.
- The initiative is funded from InsureOnGo’s own responsible business commitment.
4. How it works
Buy a policy
Customers compare and purchase eligible insurance policies through the InsureOnGo marketplace.
₦100 is allocated
InsureOnGo sets aside ₦100 from its own impact commitment for every eligible policy purchase.
Impact is delivered
Funds are directed to selected causes, credible organisations or community projects aligned with our responsible business objectives.
5. Eligible policies
Eligible policies are insurance products purchased through the InsureOnGo platform and confirmed as successfully issued by a participating insurer. Eligibility may depend on product type, insurer participation, successful premium payment, policy issuance, and internal reconciliation.
Policies that are cancelled, reversed, refunded, not successfully issued, or later found to be fraudulent may be excluded from the Give Back calculation.
6. Supported causes
Supported causes may include initiatives across the following impact areas:
- Education and youth empowerment — programmes that support learning, skills and opportunity.
- Insurance awareness — public education that helps people make informed protection decisions.
- Health and community resilience — initiatives that improve access, safety and wellbeing.
- Road-safety awareness — campaigns that encourage safer driving and responsible vehicle ownership.
- Vulnerable community support — practical interventions for communities requiring additional support.
- Climate and environmental resilience — projects that promote sustainability and risk reduction.
7. Impact partners
Where appropriate, InsureOnGo may work with credible charities, foundations, civil society organisations, professional bodies, schools, community groups or other impact partners to implement selected projects.
We aim to select partners based on credibility, governance standards, relevance to the chosen cause, ability to deliver measurable outcomes, and alignment with our values as a responsible insurance technology platform.
8. Transparency
InsureOnGo may periodically publish updates on selected causes, donation milestones, beneficiaries, implementation partners and impact stories. These updates may be shared on our website, social media channels, customer communications, annual updates or other official channels.
We are committed to presenting Give Back updates in a clear and responsible manner, avoiding exaggerated claims and ensuring that impact communications are fair, accurate and evidence-led.
9. Governance
The Give Back initiative is administered by InsureOnGo in line with our responsible business, compliance and internal governance standards. We may review the structure, eligibility rules, supported causes, partner criteria and reporting approach from time to time.
We reserve the right to pause, amend, expand or discontinue the initiative where necessary for operational, regulatory, governance, financial or strategic reasons. Any material update will be reflected on this page.
10. Important note
The Give Back initiative is a voluntary social impact commitment by InsureOnGo. It is not an insurance benefit, investment return, cash-back entitlement, premium discount, loyalty reward, charitable tax receipt, or contractual obligation owed to any individual customer.
Policy cover, underwriting, premium calculation, certificate issuance, cancellations, refunds and claims remain governed by the policy wording and by the insurer named on the customer’s policy certificate or schedule.
